Recruiting Jobs and Improving the Economy Rob Miller learned the importance of hard work at the age of 14, when he had to pitch in and help support his family after his father died suddenly. Now Rob wants to make sure that every South Carolinian has a chance to work hard and support their family. That’s why he’ll lead the way in developing new strategies that create high paying jobs with good benefits. Scrapping Unfair Trade Deals South Carolina workers can hold their own against any worker in the world. But the deck is stacked against us by unfair trade treaties. As our new Congressman, Rob Miller will scrap these unfair trade deals and give South Carolina workers a chance to compete again. Balancing the Budget Rob also understands that to have a strong economy we must erase the record deficits and end the out-of-control spending so prevalent in Washington today. South Carolina families have to live within their means – and Congress should learn to do the same thing. As our new Congressman, Rob will work to end wasteful spending and balance the federal budget.

Rob Miller is a South Carolina native, former Marine and part-owner of a small business. He’s running for Congress because he’s the only candidate in this race who can deliver real change. Rob will cut through the partisan bickering and get results for South Carolina. Honoring Our Troops in Iraq As an Iraq War Veteran who served for 13 years in the Marines, Rob knows that our military has won every military battle and done everything else they've been tasked with in Iraq. That’s why Rob believes it’s time for the Iraqis to take more responsibility in fixing their own country. As our new voice in Washington, Rob will work to bring our troops home through a sensible exit plan.
Improving Access to Health Care Rob believes that it is wrong that so many hard-working South Carolinians cannot afford proper health care. As our next Congressman, Rob will work to make sure that every family can provide health insurance for children under 18. He is also committed to making health care more affordable for all Americans by offering real incentives to employers who cover their employees. Improving Education Rob will work to ensure that we receive our fair share in education funding. With Rob as our new voice in Washington, he'll make sure that crucial education dollars meant for us don't go somewhere else. Rob will also vote to end the failed "Leave No Child Behind" policy. He understands that to improve our schools, we must support our teachers and parents, not create road blocks and other obstacles that prevent success. |
